eCommerce Toolkit TutorialThis tutorial provides an overview of integrating the eShopping Cart and eManager Database System with a remote catalog site. The remote catalog site may reside on any server connected to the internet.How it worksFirst, you do not have to download, learn or install any CGI scripts or add any complicated HTML Form code to your pages. Our system works equally well for merchants who have existing sites or those yet to construct their online catalog. Interaction between your site and our remote order system/database will be completely seamless. In a nut shell, you add products to your online database through
eManager, a complete web based interface to your relational database,
then add ordinary hypertext links to your catalog pages. You will have
one link per product, multiple products on one page are okay. The "per
product link" will be your "Add to Cart" link. This link may be straight
text or an image link, such as...
In addition to the one link per product you will have two other
links per page. These links will be "View Cart" and the most important
link of all "Checkout"
